Martial Arts Miami: Jiu Jitsu Techniques
Inside Look: What is Marcus Aurelio BJJ All About?
At our Martial Arts Miami BJJ Academy we teach a comprehensive mixed martial arts combat and hand-to-hand self-defense system that specializes in grappling, take downs, reversals, throws, submissions, locks… and focuses intensely on ground fighting.
Our Jiu Jitsu program promotes the concept that size and strength are relative.
A smaller, weaker person can very successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage, the proper mixed martial arts techniques, and when necessary, by taking the fight to the ground then applying joint-locks and choke-holds to defeat your opponent.
We offer three levels of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training to ensure that all our students get the structured attention and specific level of instruction on Jiu Jitsu techniques they need to continually grow and improve.
Our BJJ Academy Fundamentals Program is based off of the original curriculum of Grandmaster Helio Gracie, which was created to prepare individuals in the self-defense techniques and core basics of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
From there you move on to our Intermediate Tier and finally our Advanced Classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that will continue your journey into high level Miami MMA with more complex and challenging techniques.
We instruct students of all ages, backgrounds, genders, physical strength, and abilities… each aspiring to attain their own personal training goals from fitness or weight loss to self-defense and self-confidence.
Competitive BJJ and Self Defense Classes in Miami
The BJJ Academy class-learning environment is respectful, focused, and spirited and the more experienced students regularly help the beginners learn and grow.
Because Jiu Jitsu techniques require a degree of physical fitness as well as mental focus, beginners will initially feel challenged; however, over time students will achieve tremendous gains in strength and endurance as a result of the specialized mixed martial arts exercises, physical drills, and sparring.
BJJ makes fitness and personal growth addicting and ultra-satisfying. Martial Arts Miami is a way of life. From your first class you will feel the tremendous difference it can make in your self-esteem and fitness.
Within just a few weeks of training you will feel a lifetime away from where you started, and with each passing month (and step forward in our established BJJ Academy) you will feel closer to your new Miami MMA family and more confident in the powerful Jiu Jitsu techniques and self-defense principles that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is designed around.
